GAME 1: CHIPOLA 4 vs MCLENNAN 8
Chipola Lady Indians fell to McLennan 9-4 on Friday.
McLennan opened the scoring in the second after an error scored one run. Chipola Lady Indians captured the lead, 4-1, in the top of the fourth when Jefferson singled, scoring one run, Riano singled, scoring two runs, and Eaton tripled, scoring one run. McLennan Highlanders took the lead, 6-4, in the bottom of the fifth thanks to singles by Brown, and Fechner.
Ganz pitched three and one-third innings in relief for Chipola Lady Indians. The pitcher gave up seven hits and five runs while, striking out none and walking two. Dominguez took the loss for Chipola Lady Indians. The starter went two innings, surrendering four runs on five hits, striking out two and walking two.
Riano led Chipola Lady Indians with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Eaton and Riano each collected two hits for Lady Indians. Lady Indians had patience at the plate, tallying six walks for the game.
GAME 2: CHIPOLA 1 vs SAN JAC 9
Chipola Lady Indians lost to San Jac 9-1.
A fly out by Norman put San Jac Ravens on the board in the top of the second.
An error, a double by Perez, and a single by Mangus helped San Jac Ravens extend their early lead in the third to 5-0.
Hashaw earned the win for San Jac Ravens. The hurler surrendered three hits and one run (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking two. Grantham took the loss for Lady Indians. The righty went seven innings, surrendering nine runs (one earned) on 11 hits, striking out four and walking none.
Green led the team with one run batted in. Rodgers, Morris, and Eaton each collected one hit for Chipola Lady Indians.
