⚾️CHIPOLA BASEBALL(42-11) SWEEPS THE MARIANNA REGIONAL in a best of 3 series vs Daytona State!
The Chipola Indians delivered a complete team performance this weekend, sweeping the Marianna Regional with a combination of timely hitting, power at the plate, and resilient pitching.
In Friday's opening game, Chipola secured a hard-fought 17-15 victory over Daytona State in a high-scoring contest. Kane Moye led the offensive surge with two home runs and five RBIs, setting the tone early. The Indians demonstrated composure and depth, rallying with a decisive nine-run eighth inning to take control of the game. Colin Guerra provided the pivotal moment with a bases-clearing double, while Seven Alemais, Tyler Correa, Hudson Gilman, and Derek Gonzalez each contributed key hits throughout the lineup. Michal Sindelka added value with disciplined at-bats, reaching base multiple times.
On the mound, Brady Brock earned the win in relief, with Joey Ervin and Aaron Elissalt contributing important innings to keep the game within reach.
Chipola carried that momentum into Saturday, earning a 9-2 victory to complete the sweep. Seven Alemais delivered a standout performance, going 3-for-3 with four RBIs, including a three-run home run that extended the lead. Hudson Gilman added a solo home run, while Tyler Correa and Colin Guerra continued to produce in key situations.
The pitching staff set the tone in the clinching game, led by Michal Kovala, who provided a strong start, and Clinton Harris, who closed out the game with a scoreless relief appearance.
With the two victories, The Chipola Indians are FINAL 4 bound for the FCSAA Baseball D1 Championships, May 8-10! The Final 4 will be held in Tampa, Florida at George M Steinbrenner Field (Yankees spring training field) and will be a double elimination format like a NCAA D1 regional. The winner will advance to the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction, CO., May 23-30.
Game one of the Final Four will be Friday, May 8th at 5 EST against Northwest Florida State.
