The Indians offense was clicking in tonight's 101-64 win over Roane State.
Redshirt Freshman, Marial Mading, led Chipola with 19 points and six assists. Christian Lorng had 17 points and eight rebounds. Lance Erving added in 16 points. Kris Gardner scored 11 points and had eight assists. Anthony Higgs had 10 points. Lat Mayen led the team in rebounds with 10.
"Offensively, we had five guys in double-figures and we had 23 assists on 29 made field goals," said Coach Brendan Foley. "For the most part, I'm happy with how we continue to share the ball and create shots."
Foley thought his team also showed a better rebounding effort in tonight's contest and was also happy with how they defended in the second half.
"I thought we improved a lot on the glass tonight," he said. "I was also proud of our defensive effort in the second half after letting up in the end of the first half. I thought we responded well."
The Indians are back in action at home next weekend as they host the Panhandle Classic. They'll face Spartanburg Methodist on Friday, Nov. 8 at 7:00 p.m. and Enterprise State on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 7:00 p.m.
