The Indians bounced back tonight with a 98-72 win over Tallahassee.
Keishawn Brewton led Chipola with 19 points and eight rebounds. Ibrahima Sankare scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Bitumba Baruti had 16 points, six rebounds, and three blocks. Christian Lorng added in 12 points, eight rebounds, and four blocks.
While the Indians were hot offensively, shooting 62%, Coach Brendan Foley was more excited about their defensive efforts.
"I was incredibly pleased with our defensive effort in the first half," he said. "I thought we really guarded and dominated the glass, which opened things up offensively for us."
The Indians outrebounded the Eagles 48-29.
"This was a great team win for us," he added in.
Chipola moves to 23-4 (6-3) on the season. They're back on the road on Saturday as they travel to #4 Northwest Florida State at 7:30PM CST.
