Chipola falls 86-82 to No. 4 Northwest Florida State in tonight's conference showdown.
Bitumba Baruti led the Indians in scoring with 16 points. Daniel Oladapo recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Malik Zachery had 14 points and four assists, Keishawn Brewton had 12 points, and Cheikh Faye scored nine points and grabbed eight rebounds.
"I'm proud of our effort tonight. Our guys competed and fought hard," said Coach Brendan Foley. "We struggled in some areas that we are normally pretty efficient in and I thought that affected the outcome of the game."
The Indians fall to 21-3 on the year. They're back in action at home on Saturday as they host Gulf Coast State at 7:30 p.m. CST for the Homecoming game. Tickets are available at the gate and are $5/adult, $2/12&under. Chipola students and Appreciation Club members receive free entry.
