Indians Win Game 1 vs PSC

The Chipola Indians (24-4, 5-0) defeated Pensacola State 8-0 on Tuesday.

Reynaldo Rivera led Chipola Indians to victory by driving in four runs. He went 2-for-3 at the plate. Rivera drove in 3 runs on a home run in the third and one run on double in the fifth.

Chipola scored four runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was thanks to a double by Rivera, a single by Trey Dawson, a walk by Jacob Silverstein, and a single by Jose Caballero.

Bowden Francis (6-1) earned the win. He went six innings, surrendering zero runs, one hit, striking out six, and walking one.

Connor Hock threw 1 inning in relief. He didn't surrender a hit while striking out one. 

Chipola Indians had 14 hits in the game. Brody WoffordCaballeroRiveraDawsonTe'Kwaan Whyte, and Silverstein each collected multiple hits.

The Indians face Pensacola State Thursday in Marianna. First-pitch is scheduled for 5pm CST.
