Chipola Comes Back to Win 9-7

Chipola Indians (23-4, 4-0) took the lead for good in the sixth inning to capture a back-and-forth game from Tallahassee by a 9-7 score on Saturday.

The game was tied at seven with Chipola batting in the bottom of the sixth when Brody Wofford singled off of Malik Barrington, driving in one run.

Tallahassee took an early lead in the first inning. Tallahassee scored one run when Jack Hartman singled with one out in the first inning. After Tallahassee scored one run in the top of the fourth, Chipola answered with one of their own.

Tallahassee scored when Haughton homered off of Andrew Grogan, driving in one run. 

Chipola then answered when Reynaldo Rivera singled off of Derick Garcia, driving in one run.Tallahassee scored four runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Tallahassee came thanks to a double by Blasucci, a double by Rayburn, and a single by Haughton.

Robbie Knox (2-0) earned the win. He tossed two and two-thirds innings, surrendering two runs, three hits, striking out two, and walking zero. Andrew Grogan threw 3.2 innings of 1 run ball.

Chipola had ten hits in the game. Edmond AmericaanAndrew Bechtold, and Jacob Silverstein each collected multiple hits.
