A walk-off double led the Chipola Indians (9-3) past Gordon State 4-3 on Friday. The game was tied at three with Chipola batting in the bottom of the eighth when Edmond Americaan doubled, driving in Cole McKissock. McKissock walked with one out and moved up on a delayed steal. With two outs, Americaan roped a 2-1 pitch down the line past the diving first baseman.
Gordon State captured the lead in the second inning. A wild pitch by Junior Harding scored one run for Gordon State. Chipola knotted the game up at three in the bottom of the seventh inning. Jose Caballero's sac fly scored one run for Chipola Indians.
Bechtold hit a solo shot in the second, his fourth of the year.
Robbie Knox pitched 5 innings of shutout relief to earn the win for Chipola. That was his first win of the year.
The Indians finish up the weekend with 3 games against Columbia State.
