Bats Go Cold, Indians lose 6-0

The Chipola Indians (4-1) lost for the first time this year in a 6-0 defeat to San Jacinto on Friday. The game was tied at zero with San Jacinto batting in the top of the fifth when Michael Smith homered off of Bowden Francis, driving in two runs.

A by Trey Dawson in the second inning was a positive for Chipola Indians.

Bowden Francis took the loss for Chipola Indians. He threw three innings, giving up four runs, two hits, and striking out four.

Evan Steele started the game for Chipola Indians. He tossed three innings, allowing zero runs, three hits, striking out seven, and walking one.
