Walk-Off Winner for Indians

A walk-off single led Chipola Indians (4-0) past Walters State 6-5 on Friday. The game was tied at five with Chipola Indians batting in the bottom of the seventh when Jacob Silverstein singled off of Ricky Karcher, driving in one run.

Chipola Indians scored three runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was driven by a single by Te'Kwaan Whyte and a double by Edmond Americaan.

Riley Cabral (1-0) earned the win for the Indians. He pitched one inning, surrendering one run, two hits, striking out three, and walking zero.

Junior Harding started the game. He threw three innings, allowing one run, one hit, striking out six, and walking one.

Home runs for Walters State came when Austin Henry homered in the third inning, Hunter Wolfe homered in the seventh inning, and Hunter Gilliland homered in the sixth inning.

Whyte and Americaan each drove in two runs to lead Chipola Indians.

Walters State collected eight hits. HenryGilliland, and Landon Knack each collected multiple hits for Walters State.
