Indians win 7-3 over FSW

The Chipola Indians (2-0) beat Florida SouthWestern 7-3 on Saturday at City of Palms Stadium - Ft. Myers, FL behind Reynaldo Rivera (SO / Toa Alta, PR), who had two extra base hits and 3 RBIs.

Bowden Francis (SO / Tallahassee, FL) (1-0) put together a nice outing. Florida SouthWestern managed just one hit off of Francis, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out six during his four innings of work.
Rivera, Jose Caballero and Brody Wofford combined for six hits and three RBIs.
The Indians jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Caballero started the rally for the Chipola Indians with a double. A stolen base then moved Caballero from second to third. Rivera doubled, bringing home Caballero.
It didn't take long for Florida SouthWestern to answer as it scored two runs of its own in the second. Florida SouthWestern scored on an RBI single by Enrique Ferrer and an error.
The lead stayed with the Chipola Indians after the fourth, when they scored four runs on a two-run home run by Rivera and two singles.
Connor Hock (SO / Green Bay, WI) collected his first save after relieving Andrew Carber (SO / Blue Bell, PA)
